ALC

With their experience and passion for the outdoors, it’s only natural that Phil and Peter would gravitate towards being land specialists. In late 2011, they set a goal to be the first Realtors in Maine to achieve the Accredited Land Consultant (ALC) designation. The ALC designation is awarded by the Realtors Land Institute only to Realtors who meet stringent requirements, including a high volume of documented land sales. The designation requires more than 100 hours of land specific education courses. Upon successfully passing these courses, the ALC candidate is required to pass a comprehensive final exam, and submit an application and resume to the ALC review panel. This panel verifies all qualifications and then votes to approve or deny the applicant. These stringent requirements are the reason less than 500 Realtors in the United States, out of the nearly 1 million have earned this coveted title.

What does this mean to you as a client? It means you’re working with the most experienced and educated land consultants in Maine, better equipped to guide you through every step of your real estate transaction than anyone else. And the Land Brothers don’t plan to stop their education any time soon. They are currently working to earn the ALC Advanced designation, are members of the Small Woodland Owners Association of Maine and are supporters of the Forest Society of Maine.
