The American Loggers camps are for sale.  This property was in many scenes of the reality series produced by the Discovery channel and is located in the North Maine Woods.  The property is 21.42 +- acres of land with over 8000 square feet of living space.  There are two bunk houses that can house 40 individuals with full bath rooms.  There are four trailers that are stand-alone trailers with kitchens, bedrooms and full baths.  There is a cook shed building that can feed over 40 people at a sitting.  This 1600 square foot building has a walk-in cooler, chest freezer, an upright freezer, two refrigerators and a 16-burner propane stove with 4 ovens.  There is a garage/shop of over 2000 square feet to work on trucks and equipment should the need arise.  The whole complex is powered by two 60 kw diesel generators.

Area Description

The property is located in the North Maine Woods which is an area of approximately 3.5 million acres of sparsely populated commercial working forest.  This is an area where the moose outnumber the people.  Countless lakes, ponds, rivers and streams provide angling opportunities.  From brook trout to muskies, you can find numerous open water and ice fishing opportunities accessible from the American Logger camps.  There are very few smaller parcels within the North Maine Woods area.  Most of the land is owned by corporations, but the unique relationship here provides access to recreate on the commercial woodlands owned by the landowners within the North Maine Woods.

Recreational Data

The area is home to some of the largest whitetail deer found in the United States.  These big woods bucks are tremendous trophies.  Hunting for them will test your skills as an outdoorsman.  Not only is patience required, but also a great deal of stamina.  Large bucks and moose have been taken by the owners of this property and their guests over the years. Tracks of moose and large whitetails are often seen in the snow or soft dirt of the gravel roadways. Water and Land Features

Hardwood ridges and stands of dark spruce timber make up the forested lands of the area.  Seboomook Lake, the St. John Ponds and several trout streams are located nearby.  Baker Lake and 5^th St John pond are both very good muskie waters.  One of the owners caught a 43”, 17 ½ pound muskie from 5^th St John Pond which is ¼ mile from the property.  The tributaries that flow in and out of the St John ponds are filled with native brook trout, and nearby Russell Pond has good fly fishing for brook trout available.  Landlocked salmon can be found in the west branch of the Penobscot which is a short drive from the property.
